　　玛利亚就在那几日起身，急速往山区去，到了犹大的一座城。她进了匝加利亚的家，就给依撒伯尔请安。依撒伯尔一听到玛利亚请安，胎儿就在她的腹中欢跃。依撒伯尔遂充满了圣神，大声呼喊说：「在女人中你是蒙祝福的，你的胎儿也是蒙祝福的。吾主的母亲驾临我这里，这是我那里得来的呢?看，你请安的声音一入我耳，胎儿就在我腹中欢喜踊跃。那信了由上主传于她的话必要完成的，是有福的。」

熙雍女子，你应欢乐！
以色列，你应欢呼！
耶路撒冷女子，
你应全心高兴喜乐！
上主已撤消了对你的定案，
扫除了你的仇敌；
以色列的君王──上主，在你中间，
你再不会遇见灾祸！
在那一天，人必对耶路撒冷说：
熙雍，你不用害怕，不要双手低垂！

他是一位施救的勇士，

Hark! my lover – here he comes

My lover is like a gazelle

“Arise, my beloved, my dove, my beautiful one,
and come!
“For see, the winter is past,

Lk 1:39-45

Mary set out in those days
and traveled to the hill country in haste
to a town of Judah,
where she entered the house of Zechariah
and greeted Elizabeth.
When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting,
the infant leaped in her womb,
and Elizabeth, filled with the Holy Spirit,
cried out in a loud voice and said,
“Most blessed are you among women,
and blessed is the fruit of your womb.
And how does this happen to me,
that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
For at the moment the sound of your greeting reached my ears,
the infant in my womb leaped for joy.
Blessed are you who believed
that what was spoken to you by the Lord
would be fulfilled.”

　　在将临期首叁周 ，玛利亚默不作声。到了这第四周，无论感恩祭或日课，都见玛利亚的踪影。这是理所当然的：有谁能比一位待产的母亲更贴切地表达出那种期待至尾声，将临的喜悦？且看，玛利亚向天主答说「是」之後，便急忙赶往探访另一位待产的母亲 她的表姐依撒伯尔，跟她分享自己的喜乐。玛利亚诚然是成了血肉的天主圣言在人间支搭的流动帐棚，她将圣神带到她所到之处：依撒伯尔的胎儿遂在母腹中欢跃。依撒伯尔称玛利亚为「吾主的母亲」，这称号的神学含义，足足叫教会反省了四百年。在公元431年的厄弗所大公会议，教会决定称玛利亚为「吾主的母亲」，而「主」是天主独有的称号；耶稣在复活後，始被称为主。所以，「吾主的母亲」只能作「天主的母亲」解。

　　依撒伯尔又说：「那信了由上主传於她的话必要完成的，是有福的」；匝加利亚倒侍在一旁，成了哑吧，因为他没有相信由上主传於他的话。

　　　　　　厄玛奴耳，请来：
　　　　　　在我们中间的天主，
　　　　　　我们的君王和统治者，
　　　　　　请来救赎我们！
　　　　　　亚肋路亚！

玛利亚按奈不住内心的喜悦，急忙把这个好消息给她的表姐分享时，也去服侍她的表姐，可见玛利亚多么细心，在人最需要帮助的时刻，她都能挺身而出。福音没有记载玛利亚的言语，通过依撒伯尔的口，赞美玛利亚被天主召选的卓绝尊位。因此玛利亚成为我们世人的母亲。
因着玛利亚的一句回应，就给我们带来救世主，从此我们的灵性生命得到滋养，也因着她的回应，救世计划得以圆满实现。福音结尾告诉我们，凡是信靠上主并按照祂旨意生活的人是有福的，这是对我们每一位的邀请，邀请我们信靠上主的安排，承行祂的旨意。
还有三天就是圣诞节了，我们有没有为耶稣准备好一份礼物呢？不妨效法玛利亚走访很久没有见面的亲友，给他们分享生活的乐事，更把救世主诞生的平安带给他们。一次探访或关爱弱小的行动将成为今年圣诞节献给耶稣最好的礼物。
让我们依靠玛利亚，把耶稣的福音传开吧！
天主，愿我们像圣母一样，常将爱及耶稣带给我们周围的人。
